Royal life was far from the dream Meghan Markle had envisioned. Royal experts believe that the Duchess of Sussex couldn’t handle the rigors that come with that life. They suggest that it’s not anywhere close to what she’d thought it’d be.
Transitioning from the world of film and television to the life of a royal was said to be a massive “culture shock” for her. The world of a royal is “not as glamorous as the Disney fairytale,” according to Samara Gill. The Suits actress married Prince Harry in 2018. The pair stepped away from their royal duties in 2020.
The Duchess of Sussex is once again making headlines
Being a royal isn’t for everybody. Meghan appeared to be struggling to transition into that lifestyle, according to insiders that she ultimately just couldn’t take it. On the Royal Exclusive podcast, numerous insiders weighed in on the new book, Kate! The Courage, Grace, and Power of the Woman Who Will Be Queen. It’s a look at Kate Middleton. Among the things written by Christopher Andersen are Meghan’s lack of “patience.” That may have been something which ultimately discouraged her from pursuing that life in the long term.
Patience is apparently a quality Kate possesses; her experts say she’s thrived as a royal because of it. Meanwhile, Meghan seemed to have issues getting along with her husband’s family. A source said in October that Prince Harry and Meghan are a part of the past with the royal family. Harry’s book blasted Prince William and Kate, while there have been long suggestions that Meghan didn’t get along with the future Queen.
Meghan and Harry put royal life behind them years ago, relocating to California. While they still do tours and events, it’s primarily with just the two of them. Harry and Meghan just got back from Australia recently.
