Channel 10 has responded to reports its juggernaut reality program I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! has been cancelled by the network.

On Thursday, a published article from industry site TV Blackbox reported that Ten’s parent company Paramount had pulled the plug on the series after more than a decade on air.

According to the outlet, the show – which is hosted by fan favourites Julia Morris and Robert Irwin – is scrambling to find a new home after reportedly getting the axe.

TV Blackbox suggests that the supposed cancellation is down to budget cuts within the network.

A Network 10 spokesperson has since told news.com.au that no decision has been made about the future of the hit program.

“Decisions regarding the 2027 program schedule including I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! will be made in the coming weeks,” a Network 10 spokesperson said in a statement.

I’m A Celebrity… has been a favourite with viewers as they follow a host of celebrities head into the jungle to face terrifying challenges with the goal of winning $100,000 for their chosen charity.

As a reported budget cuts measure, according to TV Blackbox, Season 12 of I’m A Celeb – which aired in January and February this year over a five-week period – was prerecorded rather than filmed live in the South African jungle.

This allowed episodes to be filmed back-to-back without the need to fork out extra costs to accommodate cast and crew over a prolonged filming period.

Season 12, which starred both local and international celebrities such as George Calombaris, Gary Sweet, Rachel Hunter and The Brady Bunch star Barry Williams, reportedly opened with a solid 925,000 viewers tuning in.

However, viewership numbers quickly dropped given the change in audience interaction in evictions and challenges due to the prerecording of episodes. The series finale only managed to draw 571,000, down from 651,000 in 2025.

The reported axing comes weeks after host Robert Irwin revealed he scored himself another hosting gig in the US.

The Aussie wildlife warrior is set to host the US Dancing with the Stars’ spin-off program Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro.

Irwin has taken the US by storm since winning DWTS last year with dance partner Witney Carson.

Currently, Irwin and Carson are touring the US as part of the DWTS live tour, where the pair, other pro-dancers from the show and some celebrities have been performing live for fans at arenas across the US.

The tour will clock up a whopping 70 shows when it concludes this month.
