It looks like the private jet belonging to Tiger Woods is back on home turf, but there is still a big question mark hanging over whether the man himself was on board. According to reports from TMZ, the golf star’s Gulfstream G550 landed at Palm Beach International Airport on Wednesday afternoon.
The plane took off from Zurich, Switzerland, just after 2 p.m. local time and made its way across the Atlantic, touching down around 3 p.m. PT. This comes after the jet spent about 40 days over in Europe, where Woods was reportedly getting treatment at one of the most high-end, exclusive rehab clinics in the world.
We first reported about this trip back in early April. It was about a week after that rough rollover crash and his DUI arrest when the plane originally made the trek to Switzerland. At the time, his lawyer actually went to a judge to ask for permission to get him help outside of the country. The main reason? They didn’t think he could get the privacy he needed here in the States with the cameras following his every move. The judge gave the green light, and Woods headed overseas.
Now that the jet is back in Florida, everyone is wondering if the treatment is officially wrapped up. So far, nobody has confirmed if he was actually on the flight or if the plane was just heading back for other reasons. Woods is still dealing with some serious legal hurdles, including two misdemeanor charges for driving under the influence and refusing a breathalyzer test. He has pleaded not guilty to those charges.
