Reginae Carter has revealed the one time she says her dad, Lil Wayne, said no to her.
During a new episode of 2 Chainz’s Me & Halo podcast, Carter appeared with her mother, Toya Johnson, and spoke about her parents’ different styles. Around 23 minutes into the conversation, she revealed that her punchline-loving father was the nicer of the two.
“The only thing that he’s ever said no to is when I was 16 and was like, ‘Daddy, can you get me a Bentley?’” she recalled. “He said, ‘Baby, I’ll give you the world, but not a Bentley.’”
Despite his refusal, Carter reiterated that her father is very generous.
“My dad is really like, ‘Whatever you need, baby,’” she followed up.
She then described Johnson not as a good cop or a bad cop, exactly.
“She’s my favorite cop, I’ll say that,” Carter explained.

Earlier this month, Carter spoke on her own podcast about another aspect of her father — his rap lyrics, and how they impacted her schooling.
In an episode of the Heir Time podcast that featured Nas’ daughter, Destiny Jones, Carter revealed how her father’s lyricism was the reason that she wasn’t accepted into Atlanta private schools.
“I went to Christian school almost my whole life,” Carter said. “A lot of the private schools I wanted to go to — I’m not going to say the names — were blocking me because of what my dad was doing a lot of the time, because of the music he was making.”
“It was a lot of big schools in Atlanta, the biggest that rejected me,” she added. “They rejected a lot of celebrity kids.”
Carter then admitted that she kind of understood why she wasn’t accepted. “I get it, to a certain extent,” she said. “But it’s like, I’m a kid and that don’t got nothing to do with me. You shouldn’t judge me off of what my dad’s got going on.”
