May 15 (UPI) — Gracie Abrams is back with new music.
The singer-songwriter, 26, released a single and music video for the song “Hit the Wall” on Thursday.
The “Hit the Wall” video shows Abrams be examined by doctors and pose in front of a burning tree as she sings about her personal struggles impacting a relationship.
“I wanna be stable, but I do cave / I use when I’m able, I downgrade / I barely deserve it if you do stay / I wish you would anyway,” she sings.
“Hit the Wall” is the first song to debut from Abrams’ forthcoming third studio album, Daughter from Hell. Abrams announced the album and a July 17 release date earlier this week.
Abrams, the daughter of Lost creator J.J. Abrams, released her debut album, Good Riddance, in 2023, and The Secret of Us the next year. She is known for the singles “I Miss You, I’m Sorry,” “That’s So True” and “Call Me When You Break Up” with Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco.
