Memorial Weekend, Run, Roast & Refresh among this week's big events

Seven days out is your guide to entertainment events, concerts, festivals and activities in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.

MONDAY

Monday Night Blues

7 p.m. May 18. Seville Quarter, 130 E. Government St. Seville Quarter and the Blues Society of Northwest Florida are bringing the “blues” back to the Seville Quarter Entertainment District. Jim Breuer: Find the Funny Tour

7:30 p.m. May 18. Saenger Theatre, 118 S. Palafox St. Jim Breuer is a comedian, podcaster, writer, and actor with more than three decades of nonstop laughter under his belt. Best known for his legendary run on Saturday Night Live in the 1990s — where he created unforgettable characters like “Goat Boy” and his spot-on Joe Pesci impression — Breuer has evolved into one of America’s most beloved stand-ups and storytellers. Today, Breuer is packing theaters nationwide with his Find The Funny Tour, a high-energy blend of sharp observations, family stories, and spontaneous crowd interaction that reminds audiences how to laugh again. Hey Thanks

Iration

6 p.m., doors; 7 p.m., show; May 19. Vinyl Music Hall, 2 S. Palafox St. Iration is an alternative/reggae group originally formed in Isla Vista, California. With deep-rooted island influences and a Hawaii upbringing, the band fuses elements of rock, pop, and reggae to create a smooth and uplifting sound, paired with a high-energy live show. Now, after almost two decades of creating music together, Iration has amassed over one billion streams, topped Billboard charts, and established themselves as one of the most beloved reggae-rock bands to emerge independently in the US. Bands on the Beach

7 p.m. May 19. Gulfside Pavilion at Casino Beach, Pensacola Beach. Bands on the Beach is Pensacola Beach’s popular outdoor summer concert series with performers for every musical taste. Featuring a lineup of regional artists, the series delivers an eclectic musical experience throughout the entire summer. This week features Vibe Irie. THURSDAY

Johnny Chisholm Presents Memorial Weekend Pensacola

Thursday through Sunday, May 21 through 24. Pensacola Beach, Park East. The largest LGBTQ+ event held in North America for Memorial Day returns to Pensacola Beach with nightly parties, Welcome to Paradise with DJ Will Lowe on Thursday, Heated Rivalry with Jace M. + Toy Armada on Friday, Close Encounters with Erik Vilar and Karsten Sollors on Saturday, and Primal with DJ Abel on Sunday. Memorial Day Weekend Music Festival

May 21 through 25. Andy D’s on Navarre Beach, 8649 Gulf Blvd., Navarre Beach. Enjoy five days of great music lined up for Memorial Day Weekend at Andy D’s on Navarre Beach. Attendees may take part in great music, food, drinks and fun on the deck. Blackwater Cavalry will perform from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday. The Vinyl Revival 80’s Dance Party will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday. Tribe Zion will perform from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday. Horseshoe Kitty will perform from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Confessions of a Traitor

6 p.m. May 21. The Handlebar, 319 N. Tarragona St. Confessions of a Traitor will perform live in concert featuring Fight From Within, ExitWounds, Afterdusk, and Morraagora. More info: thehandlebar850.com.

St. Christopher’s Concerts

6 p.m. May 21. St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, 3200 N. 12th Ave. Christopher’s Concerts is an annual concert series bringing live music to the community in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere. The series features a diverse lineup of talented bands performing a variety of musical styles. Attendees may bring their own food and beverage and food will be available for purchase on site. FRIDAY

Bands on the Bayou

Food vendors, 4:30 p.m., band, 6:30 p.m.; May 22. Bayview Park, 2001 E. Lloyd St. The East Hill Neighborhood Association presents the Bands on the Bayou Community Concert Series. Come with chairs, blankets and family by land or water, and join everyone on the lawn at the new Bayview Community Center. Boat access is available. Local food trucks will be in attendance. Arankai

6 p.m. May 22. The Handlebar, 319 N. Tarragona St. Arankai will perform live in concert with Buffalo Farm and Serena’s Fire. More info: thehandlebar850.com.

Movie in the Parks

6:30 p.m. May 22. Tiger Point Park, 1370 Tiger Park Lane, Gulf Breeze. Santa Rosa County Parks and Recreation is bringing the big screen outdoors with its Movie in the Parks program. Families and residents of all ages are invited to enjoy free, family-friendly movie nights under the stars at community parks across the county. More info: santarosa.fl.gov/MovieintheParks.

Bands on the Blackwater

7 p.m. May 22. Jernigan’s Landing, 5154 Willing St., Milton. Come by boat or bring a lawn chair and join friends and neighbors for the best live music on the Gulf Coast at the award winning, family-friendly Bands on the Blackwater concerts. SATURDAY

Run, Roast & Refresh

8 a.m. May 23. Laguna’s Adventure Park, 460 Pensacola Beach Blvd., Pensacola Beach. The Run, Roast & Refresh: Beach Edition features the same energy with a brand-new setting. Organizers are taking it to Laguna’s Adventure Park for a morning of movement, recovery, community, and good vibes with the Gulf as the backdrop. Expect sugar white sand, emerald water, salt air, obstacle courses, go-karts, and hundreds of people taking over the prettiest beach in Florida. It’s wellness with a coastal twist. Crawfish Boil

Noon May 23. St. Michael’s Brewing Co., 2199 U.S. 87, Navarre. The Shack is bringing a crawfish boil back to St Michael’s. Get there early because once they’re gone, they’re gone. Their normal food truck menu will be available as well. More info: getrelaxing.com.

Memorial Day Weekend Crawfish Boil

1 p.m. May 23. O’Riley’s Uptown Tavern, 3728 Creighton Road. Customers can purchase a plate of crawfish to eat on location or take it to go. Each plate of crawfish will include sides. The bar plans to provide a limited-edition T-shirt with the purchase of a plate of crawfish. This offer applies only while supplies last. Budweiser and other featured drinks will be available at the event. This event is also connected to the Budweiser 150th anniversary celebrations. More info: orileystavern.com.

Family Beach Fest

3 p.m. May 23. Casino Beach, 20 Casino Beach Blvd., Pensacola Beach. Family Beach Fest is a free concert featuring Colton Dixon, Caid Thomson and Cameron Theodos. Come join everyone for this free concert as organizers honor God, family, and the military on Memorial Weekend. More info: facebook.com/FamilyBeachFest.

Dinner Detective Murder Mystery Dinner Show

6 p.m. May 23. Hilton Garden Inn Pensacola Downtown, 8 S. Ninth Ave. America’s largest interactive comedy murder mystery dinner theatre show is now playing. Solve a mystery while feasting on dinner. Just beware, the culprit is hiding in plain sight somewhere in the room, and you may find yourself as a prime suspect before you know it. This event differs from a traditional murder mystery dinner show. The actors are not dressed in costume and are hidden in the audience. House of Androgyny Birthday Celebration Drag Show

7 p.m. May 23. The Handlebar, 319 N. Tarragona St. House of Androgyny is hosting a birthday bash drag show featuring an open stage and lip-sync competition. For ages 18 and older. More info: thehandlebar850.com.

Mugs and Jugs 18th Birthday Movie Night

9 p.m. May 23. Mugs & Jugs, 12080 Scenic Highway. Mugs and Jugs will host a movie night in May to celebrate the bar’s 18th birthday. The bar plans to show a movie on their outside patio. The movie will be announced on social media prior to the event. The bar will also have cupcakes for attendees in celebration of its birthday. Free. For ages 21 and older. More info: mugsjugsbar.com.
