The timeline of the Andrew scandal has been heavily discussed, even before the disgraced former prince was arrested for suspicion of misconduct in public office. A new book by royal author Christopher Andersen titled “Kate! The Courage, Grace, and Power of the Woman Who Will be Queen,” is now claiming that Kate Middleton refused to talk to Andrew at family gatherings and blocked him from attending her annual Christmas concert at Westminster Abbey long before he was stripped of his titles and evicted from Royal Lodge.

Per Page Six Middleton was done with Andrew long before the institution took steps against him. “She is the first royal to cut him off, to turn her back on him,” Andersen said. In fact, he claims Andrew even tried to attend Kate’s Christmas concert through a side entrance, but was turned away.
“He asked, through intermediaries, if he could slip in a side door,” Andersen said. “Nope, we don’t want your face on camera.”
According to the author, Middleton was thinking about the future of the monarchy when she made the decision to distance herself from Andrew. “Kate is looking forward,” he said, explaining, “She’s the wife of a future monarch,” and the “mother of a future monarch.”

Prince William is next in line to the throne, and after him, Prince George, Kate Middleton’s oldest child.
There have been reports in the last few months that the issues between Andrew and William and Kate started way before his ties with Epstein were exposed, and can be traced back to “rude and unkind” remarks he made about Middleton.
“I can’t see how anyone could make unkind comments about Kate when she’s been the family’s saving grace,” royal author Andrew Lownie told Radar Online. “It surprised me, but people do get jealous,” he added, adding that jealousy was part of the reason Andrew was rude. “I’d have thought Prince Andrew would respect William as future king though” rather than being “nasty about his wife.”
“William has a very strong sense of public duty and is doing his best to keep the show on the road,” Lownie added. “He’s all about doing things the right way and has enough on his plate without having to think about his uncle.”
King Charles released a statement right after Andrew’s arrest, saying, “I have learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office. What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities.”
He added, “In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and co-operation. Let me state clearly: the law must take its course. As this process continues, it would not be right for me to comment further on this matter. Meanwhile, my family and I will continue in our duty and service to you all.”
