Triple Tigers recording artist Scotty McCreery is celebrating a milestone anniversary with the announcement of 15, a retrospective album set for release on July 17. The collection spotlights nine of his hit recordings alongside four new tracks, arriving 15 years after the North Carolina native first auditioned for American Idol in Milwaukee and went on to win Season 10 in 2011 at 17.

Pre-orders for both digital and physical versions of the album opened Friday. The vinyl and CD editions mark the first time “Bottle Rockets” — McCreery’s chart-topping collaboration with Hootie & the Blowfish — has appeared on a physical product. Autographed copies of the vinyl and CD will be available through McCreery’s official store at ScottyMcCreery.com and at Talk Shop Live.

“Bottle Rockets,” which earned RIAA Platinum certification and became McCreery’s first No. 1 in Canada, originated from a writing retreat in the mountains of North Carolina. It was released in 2025 as the lead single from McCreery’s Scooter & Friends EP.

Reflecting on how the collaboration came together, McCreery shared: “Darius has been a friend now for a long time, so I was hopeful that maybe they would want to do this, but you never know, especially when the song probably means so much to them. But I nervously texted him, and he got back to me and said, ‘We’d love to do it.’ The song turned out better than my wildest dreams.”

Joining “Bottle Rockets” among the album’s new tracks is a duet version of “Your Man” with Josh Turner — the very song McCreery performed during his original Idol audition.

In an article announcing the project, McCreery talked about how far he has come. “Man, fifteen years goes by like a flash,” he reflected. “Some days it feels like yesterday when I did my initial American Idol audition in Milwaukee, while other days it feels like it happened a hundred years ago. I’ve lived a lot of life, traveled millions of miles, and followed my dreams, all thanks to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, my family, my team, and all the fans who have supported me through these 15 years.”

Since his Idol victory, McCreery has built one of the most decorated careers of any reality competition alumnus in country music. He has accumulated seven No. 1 hits, sold more than 4 million albums, and become a member of the Grand Ole Opry in April 2024, inducted by Josh Turner and Country Music Hall of Famer Randy Travis. His songwriting and artistry have grown to include themes of marriage, fatherhood, faith, and the passage of time.
