Roger Elliot Moore — the content creator known online as “Metronade” — died on May 11. He was 23.
His Instagram account, where he shared skit-based videos in New York City, shared the news of his death in an Instagram post on May 15, writing that he “passed away Monday afternoon after a tragic accident.”
A spokesperson for New York City’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner confirmed to PEOPLE that Moore died on May 11. His cause of death was blunt force trauma, and it was ruled an accident.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Moore graduated from Syracuse University in 2024 with an undergraduate degree in cinematography and film production, pursuing several job opportunities in the content creation space as he grew his online following across Instagram, TikTok, Twitch and YouTube to over 2 million.

“Metronade blended his expertise in film with his passions for video games, anime, fashion, and more to showcase the highs and lows of love, work, friendship, and growing up,” read his tribute post on Instagram. “By creating cinematic skits based on his own struggles, he wanted his viewers to feel less alone in theirs. He read many of your messages and comments and deeply appreciated that he could use his work to relate to others.”
Continued the post: “Above all, Metronade was grounded in his faith in God. He knew this life was fleeting, and urgently shared the word of God with all in his life, both online and in person. Metronade also believed in kindness, as you never know what someone else is going through.”
