The New York Knicks just got a fresh new fan. Last night, the team pulled off a historic 22-point fourth-quarter comeback against the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals. And there to see it all were the range-and-blue’s most loyal fans, including Timothée Chalamet, Ben Stiller, and Spike Lee. But that was not all. Celebrity row was star-studded for the big game, even pulling in Lenny Kravitz, Michael Imperioli, Edie Falco, Jimmy Fallon, Dustin Hoffman, and parents-to-be Aubrey Plaza and Christopher Abbott.
Plaza’s baby bump made its Madison Square Garden debut, and her little one became the Knicks’s teeniest fan for the night.
Plaza was cool as ever for her game-day date with Abbott, slipping on the perfect black maxi dress to beat the Manhattan summer heat. She paired the slinky, spaghetti-strap piece with black mesh flats, a black leather crossbody, and round shades. The only pop of color in her fit came from her Knicks merch: an orange-and-blue baseball cap with the team logo. Little gold earrings and some layered necklaces completed the easy look, and Plaza carried a brown leather jacket to keep warm inside the arena.
Next to her, the Poor Things star went full Knicks fan. Ever the New Yorker, Abbott layered a team jersey over a gray T-shirt, and paired it all with a denim button-down, long gray shorts, and tan suede boots worn with black socks. He capped off the street fit with a hat in the Knicks’s iconic colors.
It’s not often that Plaza and Abbott—who’ve been together for about a year—step out together, but their courtside date comes a few weeks after the My Old Ass star confirmed her pregnancy and voiced her excitement over becoming a mother.
“I’ve always wanted to see what that’s all about, you know? It just seems so interesting, that whole thing,” she said of motherhood on the Smartless podcast.
