What’s your secret to making it to the final four?
It’s the connections I made on the island. I’m definitely aware I’m not the strongest, fittest, smartest or most game-savvy in the group, but making these genuine friendships and allies has really helped.
What’s been your proudest moment on the show?
I feel proud of the fact I’m just unapologetically myself. Yes, I’ve cried a lot – I’m a sensitive girlie who cries to process and I can laugh at myself about that. But there’s no shame in all the tears and I feel proud I haven’t tried to hide who I am, even if it’s not perceived as strong. This whole experience has shown me there can be strength in having a softer heart.
Your toughest moment?
Just navigating all my internal head noise across the whole journey. I’ve wrestled with anxiety since I was a kid, so that and being a chronic people pleaser isn’t a great combination on Celebrity Treasure Island. I rely on my partner and family a lot in terms of support when I come up against my own mental blocks.
What’s your biggest regret?
The hell that was Mercy Card-gate! It’s impossible to not think about all the things I could and would’ve done differently – easy to think in hindsight, with a clear head and a full belly, though.
Who’s your toughest competition in the final four?
Louis, Nix and Georgia are all beautifully fierce competitors in their own right. But my dear mate Louis “Godfather” Davis is pretty unstoppable.
Can you share a behind-the-scenes moment?
When Polly Gillespie was still at camp, we’d have our nightly walk to the toilet and she’d always tell me some outrageous story that made me laugh so hard. Also, after the merge, a possum slept on me. No exaggeration – I woke up to a possum sitting on me! I had nightmares about possums for weeks after.
My favourite part, though, is every night after the crew goes, we sit around the campfire for hours and share stories, learning more about each other and our lives at home. I’ve never felt so present in my life. They’re the precious moments I’ll always cherish.
