Darrell Sheets’ autopsy report has revealed new details about the Storage Wars star’s death.
The report, exclusively obtained by Us Weekly on Wednesday, May 27, stated that the toxicology analysis came back negative.
Officials took samples of Sheet’s blood for the toxicology and tested for benzos, cocaine, fentanyl and other drugs. There were ultimately no drugs found in his system.
While examining his body, officials discovered Sheets had tattoos, including a female, the number 58, a joker and a checkered flag. The ink, however, didn’t play a role in his death.
“The body is that of a well-developed, well-nourished adult male,” the report stated.
In the final summary, the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Sheet’s cause of death was suicide.
Two months ago, Us confirmed that Sheets had died after an apparent suicide at the age of 67.
“On April 22, 2026, at approximately 0200 hours, officers with the Lake Havasu City Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 1500 block of Chandler Drive in reference to a reported deceased individual,” the Lake Havasu City Police Department said in a statement to Us. “Upon arrival, officers located a male subject who suffered from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The male was pronounced deceased on scene, and the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit was notified and responded to the scene to assume the investigation.”

The Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office in Arizona later ruled Sheets’ death a suicide.
Police in Arizona also confirmed they were investigating claims that Sheets was bullied online before his death. In the weeks before his suicide, Sheets had confronted alleged cyberbullies on social media.
Sheets, who fans often called “The Gambler,” appeared on more than 160 episodes of Storage Wars between 2010 and 2023. He was a storage auction veteran who became known for his catchphrase, “This is the WOW factor!”
After exiting the show, Sheets started his own business called Havasu Show Me Your Junk.
“We are saddened by the passing of a beloved member of our Storage Wars family, Darrell ‘The Gambler’ Sheets,” A&E previously shared in a statement to Us. “Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.”
Original Productions also released a statement to Us, stating, “We are deeply saddened by the passing of longtime Storage Wars cast member Darrell Sheets. His bold instincts and willingness to take risks helped define the show and build its legacy. Our hearts go out to his family and friends.”
