As you may or may not remember, a few years ago, an Irish band of dudes who rock caused some controversy by calling themselves Girl Band. They apologized and changed their name to Gilla Band in 2021, and the noise-rockers have now returned with plans for a North American tour and the release of their first new music in almost four years.
Shared alongside the new single “Giraffe,” the Dublin-based quartet will make their way to Canada for gigs in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver amid their fall North American trek, which kicks off on October 14 in Philadelphia, PA. They’ll play Montreal’s Fairmount Theatre on October 19, Lee’s Palace in Toronto on October 20 and the Pearl in Vancouver on October 31, ahead of wrapping the run stateside the following month.
Tickets go on sale this Friday (May 29) at 10 a.m. local time. Check out the full schedule of dates and the surreal “Giraffe” video below. Be sure to head over to Concert Central for more info on other upcoming Canadian shows.
