Fun Galesburg weekend events to attend May 29-31
May 29–31 in Galesburg: Food Truck Night, Music Bingo, live shows, Abingdon market, and Choral Dynamics’ 50th.
The weekend brings Food Truck Night and Music Bingo, along with fundraisers, events, live music and more to the Galesburg area.
Summer Kick-Off at Abingdon Farmers Market
What: Celebrate school being out with fun for the whole family at an extended Abingdon Farmers Market. There will be games, food, sweet treats and local small businesses.

Artist Talk and Guided Tour
What: Basia Krol will give a guided tour of her show, “Of All Things Visible” and answer questions.

Food Truck Night
What: Confirmed food trucks are: Shawdaddy’s, Smokin Willies, Carnival Delights, Mr. Macho Taco, Cousins Maine Lobster and Twisted Pasta.
When: 6:30-8:30 p.m. May 29 (or until food runs out)
Where: Lake Storey Pavilion, 1572 Machen Drive, Galesburg

Raising Spirits with Song
What: Choral Dynamics is turning 50 and presenting its 2026 Summer show, “Raising Spirits with Song.” Come celebrate 50 years of helping the community through song. A couple of unearthly characters will be joining the chorus to take you on a musical tour of Galesburg. With humor and song, you can join us as we look back to the beginning in 1976. Choral Dynamics will also be paying tribute to America’s 250th anniversary with a selection of patriotic tunes.

Movies at the Drive In
What: As part of the Fire Department demonstration weekend, you can see “Planes: Fire & Rescue” at dusk May 29 and “Backdraft” at dusk May 30. Gates open at 7 p.m. There will be cash concessions on site.

Little Loom Weavings
What: Join fiber artist Eboni Bellott to learn the foundations and endless possibilities of weaving. All materials are provided. All ages are encouraged to participate.

Leave it Better Annual Clean Up
What: Help pick up the trash in this local treasure. Gloves, trash bags and water are provided.

Music Bingo
What: Instead of numbers, the host plays 30–60 second song clips. If the song title or artist is on your Bingo card, you mark it. Players win by completing a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line- just like in traditional Bingo. No need to bring anything. Seats are first-come, first-served.
When: 6:30-8:30 p.m. May 30

Kickapoo Junction Live
What: Enjoy a night of high-energy country music from this central Illinois country band in the Big Catz Sound Garden.

What: Enjoy a morning at Lakeside Waterpark without the big kids (zero-depth play feature only). This is open to children age five and younger and their parent/caregiver. Summer Crafternoon for Kids
What: Drop in for a new craft project each week. No registration is required. This event is designed for kids in grades K-6; kids younger than 8 must be accompanied by an adult. It is held Wednesdays June 3 through July 22.

Family Trivia Night
