Prince Harry not invited to the ‘royal wedding of the year’

Prince Harry won’t be celebrating Peter Phillips‘ marriage with the rest of his family.

In the weeks before Princess Anne‘s child is set to wed Harriet Sterling, television host Mark Dolan claimed the Duke of Sussex will be missing out on one of the monarchy’s biggest bashes.

“It’s a royal snub. It’s the royal wedding of the year and it is Princess Anne’s son, Peter,” the expert told Sky News.

“The bottom line is that Harry has not been invited,” Dolan said, while claiming that Harry is “banned” from the gathering.

The commentator claimed that the groom feels his cousin and Meghan Markle are “toxic” and “would ruin the special day” if they attended.

“Peter doesn’t want Harry to take the headlines,” Dolan alleged.

A source told HELLO! that Harry and Peter “haven’t spoken for several years and have simply lost touch, so he hasn’t been invited.”

“Peter and Harriet’s wedding is an intimate occasion with their close friends and immediate family around them in the Cotswolds,” the insider claimed.

“It’s an area where they grew up and is very special to them both,” the source noted.

King Charles III, Queen Camilla, Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Edward, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, Zara Tindall and Mike Tindall are all expected to be present on June 6.

Surprisingly, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie made the guest list despite their parents, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson, not being included. The former couple were stripped of their titles and evicted from Royal Lodge over their ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

“When and whether Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and Sarah Ferguson had been invited, it was probably not deemed appropriate to invite them,” the insider pointed out.

“It’s Peter and Harriet’s special day, and clearly their attendance would cause a distraction to the whole day,” they added.

While there have been reports of Harry wanting to make amends with his relatives, he and his wife know it won’t happen quickly.

“They’re not approaching it with the expectation of a quick resolution. It’s about taking small, manageable steps and seeing where things land,” a source told People.

“This remains very important to Harry, with Meghan supportive,” the source said.

The Spare author hasn’t seen much of his family since he and Meghan exited The Firm in 2020. In turn, their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, don’t know their cousins across the pond.

“Archie and Lili are having a lovely time in California, but Harry is very sad that they are missing out on life with the rest of their family,” a source told Daily Mail via GB News.

“Harry feels his children are missing out on the extensive family network that their cousins are enjoying,” the insider said.

Per a source, Harry and his father are working to repair their dynamic.

“From Charles’s perspective, this is about repairing a relationship with Harry and building a relationship with his grandchildren,” an insider told the Examiner. “He’s highly motivated in that sense.”
