KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Model City is star-studded this weekend as dozens of celebrity actors and personalities attend the 7th annual Smoky Mountain Fan Fest.
The event is taking place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Meadowview Conference Center. Attendees have the chance to meet professionals in the film, television, gaming and social media industries while perusing a host of regional vendors.

Several special panels are scheduled throughout the weekend, as well, where attendees can have a more in-depth experience with celebrity guests.
Among the guests at Smoky Mountain Fan Fest are Mario Lopez, Mitchell Musso, Kevin Durand, Alyson Stoner, Morgan Fairchild, Vincent Martella, Richard Karn and more.
“We’ve got over 50 different guests that are all here in attendance being able to hang out, relax, kick back, have a good time with fans and attendees to come in to see the shows,” CJ Ferguson, Smoky Mountain Fanfest media manager, said. “They’re doing autograph signings. They’re doing selfies. They’ve got professional photo ops lined up. Question and answer panels, so Q&A galore, to be able to give the fans everything that they could possibly want from a one-on-one encounter with some of their favorite celebrities.”
Movies and shows being represented by visiting actors include Stranger Things, E.T., Saved by the Bell, Home Improvement, Phineas and Ferb, The Walking Dead and more.
“It gives you a chance to step away from the world that you’re used to experiencing and step into something new that you don’t get to see every day in East Tennessee,” Ferguson said. “That’s the heart of Smoky Mountain Fan Fest. To be able to bring something new to an area that really needs to be able to grow and find ways to keep people entertained with things beyond the imagination. “
