Hollywood legend Julie Andrews left fans emotional after a rare video appearance on May 25.
In a clip for the World Parkinson Coalition’s 2026 conference, the 90-year-old star commended attendees for participating in the event.
The video comes months before Julie is set to publish her children’s book, Shy, in August 2026.
It’s rare to see Julie Andrews in the spotlight these days—but she just made an appearance for an important cause.
Over the last few years, the Hollywood legend has managed to keep a low profile. While fans can hear Julie as the narrator on Bridgerton, one of the last times she appeared on camera was in 2024, at the release of her children’s book with daughter Emma Walton Hamilton, Waiting in the Wings.
However, the 90-year-old made a surprise appearance for the World Parkinson Coalition’s 2026 conference on May 25. In a 30-second video, the Mary Poppins star welcomed attendees to the annual event and commended them on the importance of their contributions.
“Good evening, everyone. I’m Julie Andrews, and I’m pleased to welcome you to the seventh World Parkinson’s Congress,” she said in a clip that was later posted on Instagram. “Your participation is invaluable as we seek to find a cure to this terrible disease. I know well how devastating it can be … May we all become a beacon of light to stop it in its tracks. Count me in as a red thread. Thank you.”
As soon as Julie’s video began circulating on social media, fans were emotional about seeing her again.
“Oh she is so precious. Still has her grace, style and femininity 🤍🥹,” one person wrote in the comments. “It is so good to see her 😍 I miss seeing her on a regular occasion and she looks really well 🥰,” another penned. “The only Queen Julie Andrews!!!! ❤️❤️❤️,” a different follower added.
The video came just as she is expected to publish her next children’s book, Shy, in August 2026—so maybe this means we’ll see more of Julie in the future!
