Independent production and distribution studio Electric Entertainment has formalized a corporate licensing agreement with MOD Fan Official, a company specializing in consumer product strategies driven by fan communities. The partnership aims to launch an intellectual property campaign inviting visual artists and viewers to submit original designs based on The Librarians universe, encompassing both the original TNT series The Librarians and the current television installment The Librarians: The Next Chapter.
Selected submissions from the community will be integrated into a limited-edition, officially licensed merchandise collection scheduled for commercial release during the summer of 2026. The operational structure of the agreement provides a framework for studios to monetize user-generated content while maintaining copyright control.
Digital infrastructure and rights management
The multi-tiered corporate promotion involves the establishment of a specialized “Librarians Fan Asset Hub.” Through successive seasonal campaigns, MOD Fan Official will compile a digital library of community-created graphic assets. These submissions will undergo a selective review process to determine eligibility for commercial licensing, retail distribution, and potential secondary licensee collaborations.
The operational workflow of the project is managed by MOD’s proprietary fan-licensing technological infrastructure, designed to handle the following procedures for the studio:
Submission Intake: Automated ingestion of digital artwork files from global applicants.
Authenticity Verification: Dual-layered evaluation utilizing artificial intelligence and human review to ensure copyright compliance and stylistic alignment.
Rights and Legal Management: Automated processing of licensing contracts, copyright assignments, and corporate approvals.
Financial Distribution: Calculation and automated payout of transparent royalty structures to individual creators.
‘The driving force behind the success and ongoing demand for The Librarians franchise has always been its passionate fanbase’, stated Dean Devlin, CEO of Electric Entertainment. ‘By partnering with MOD to honor their enthusiasm, we’re inviting them to help shape some of the very first Librarians: The Next Chapter merchandise’.
Joseph Pinho, Founder and CEO of MOD Fan Official, emphasized the operational scalability of the project: “This is more than a campaign. It’s a sustainable and scalable model for how studios can grow their brands by tapping into their most passionate creators.”
The inaugural public campaign under this partnership is scheduled to launch in July 2026, establishing an operational blueprint for co-creation models between intellectual property holders and digital consumer audiences.
