Demi Lovato has officially entered the Buc-ee’s cinematic universe.

USA Today reports that while in Texas for her “It’s Not That Deep Tour,” the Grammy-nominated singer made a stop at a local Buc-ee’s and documented the visit on TikTok, sending fans into a frenzy.

Wearing sunglasses and a hoodie, Lovato blended into the crowd surprisingly well for a global pop star wandering through a Texas mega travel center. Her caption kept things simple: “buccees be bussin 🤠 see you tonight houston!!!!”

The post quickly sparked reactions online, with fans joking that they probably would not have recognized her in the wild. “Imagine running into Demi Lovato at Buc-ee’s,” one commenter wrote. Another added, “The way I would say ‘that looks just like Demi’ and keep walking.”

Lovato’s stop came ahead of her May 25 performance at Houston’s Toyota Center, one of several Texas dates on her current tour. Though born in New Mexico, Lovato grew up in the Dallas area, meaning she already understands the almost religious devotion Texans have toward Buc-ee’s, the roadside empire known for brisket sandwiches, endless snack aisles, and enough beaver-branded merchandise to stock a small mall.

At this point, Buc-ee’s has become less of a gas station and more of a celebrity checkpoint. Lovato is just the latest high-profile name to publicly embrace the chain as it continues its evolution into a full-blown cultural flex.

Matty Matheson—best known for playing Neil Fak on The Bear—admitted he had completely changed his tune about Buc-ee’s after years of roasting it.

Matheson had previously mocked the idea of people obsessing over a convenience store, once joking that he preferred sketchy independent gas stations with “broken toilets.” But after finally visiting a Buc-ee’s himself, the celebrity chef posted a photo outside one of the locations with the caption: “I talked sh*t but this place is kinda tight.”

The Texas chain has spent the last year dominating headlines for everything from record-breaking openings to courtroom mascot wars.

Earlier this spring, its first Ohio location reportedly generated more than $1 million in sales on opening day, while the company simultaneously battled smaller chains in court over branding disputes involving cartoon animals.
