New musicals The Lost Boys and Schmigadoon! lead the pack, each with 12 nominations among the 26 categories. Not far behind with 11 nominations is a revival of the musical Ragtime.
Stars including Daniel Radcliffe, Nathan Lane, John Lithgow and Mark Strong are going head-to-head in the Best Leading Actor in a Play category. While stars like Carrie Coon, Rose Byrne, Lesley Manville and Kelli O’Hara are vying for Best Leading Actress in a Play.
The 79th annual Tony Awards will be held on Sunday, June 7, at Radio City Music Hall in New York City and broadcast live on CBS and streaming on Paramount+ at 8 p.m. ET.
