HERSHEY, Pa. (WHTM) — The union representing workers at the remaining Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Properties without contracts reached a tentative contract agreement, the company said in a statement.
Workers at Hotel Hershey, GIANT Center and Hersheypark all continued contract discussions as the summer tourism season began in Hershey. Two other properties reached an agreement last month.
HE&R said it reached an agreement last week with Chocolate Workers Local No. 464 for the remaining properties after getting assistance from an official federal labor mediator. The union’s bargaining committee unanimously recommended the agreement ratification and members will vote whether to approve it this week, the company said.
“While the ratification process must still be completed, we are encouraged by the progress made and remain optimistic about the path forward,” HE&R said in its statement. It added it appreciated the professionalism shown by both bargaining teams during the process.
