Giada De Laurentiis announced that her daughter, Jade Thompson, had graduated from high school.
Fans rallied around the Food Network alum after she posted moments from Jade’s graduation on Instagram.
Giada previously spoke to Good Housekeeping about what her next chapter will look like after Jade leaves for college.
It’s the end of an era for Giada De Laurentiis.
The celebrity chef has always kept her fans updated about her career milestones and her personal moments with her family. Now, Giada has announced that her daughter, Jade Thompson, whom she shares with ex-husband Todd Thompson, graduated from high school on May 29.
In typical mom fashion, Giada captured the day and posted highlights on Instagram with Jade, Todd, and other family members. What’s more, the former Food Network star reflected on what a journey it’s been to watch her daughter flourish into a young adult.
“She did it!” she wrote in the caption. “What an unbelievable milestone for our girl, our world changer, our graduate. Keep shining Jadey, we love you more than you will ever know✨👩🎓.”
Shortly after Giada shared the news of the momentous occasion, Todd added his own thoughts about the special day.
“Wow! Can’t believe we have a Graduate! ❤️❤️❤️,” he wrote in the comments. “I am so Proud of our Jade!”
Fans were also in awe.
“Gosh, how can our Jade be heading to college?! Congratulations to all of you—proud parent moment for sure 🥰🎓,” one person penned.
“Cannot believe this is the same little nugget all those years ago on your show!! They grow up way too fast!!!!” another exclaimed.
“Congratulations Jade! Can’t wait to see what comes next. You are amazing! ❤️,” a different follower added.
While Giada is thrilled about Jade’s next chapter, she previously told Good Housekeeping that she’s not necessarily prepared for the day that her daughter heads off to college.
“As a mom, I’ve always planned my life around Jade’s schedule, and it’s been that way for the last 18 years,” she told us in January 2026. “It’s going to be a tough transition, but I think it’ll be fun. Yes, there will be those sad moments where I realize that my time with her is now limited, but it’ll be different. She’s not going to live at home anymore, and I think that’ll take some getting used to.”
Congrats to Jade, Giada, and the whole family!
