We’re less than one month away from America’s semiquincentennial — the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Across the nation and in the Ozarks, people are gearing up to celebrate this Fourth of July with flair and style.
Here are the events happening in the Ozarks this summer. We’ll be adding more events as they arise.

Have-A-Blast Patriotic Celebration in Republic
When: June 26
Where: J.R. Martin Park, 300 E. Hines St., Republic
The City of Republic will host its 30th annual celebration of America’s independence starting at 6 p.m. This year’s event will include live music from local bands and conclude with a fireworks display.
Rogersville Independence Day Celebration
When: June 27
Where: Rogersville City Park, 270 County Line Road, Rogersville
Starting at 3 p.m., the City of Rogersville is celebrating Independence Day with food trucks, vendors, live music, inflatables and fireworks.
6th Annual Fireworks Ball & Bash at Backwoods Golf
When: June 27
Where: Backwoods Golf, 6155 W. Republic Road, Brookline
From noon to 9 p.m., customers can enjoy discounted bays at Backwoods Golf’s Fireworks Ball & Bash Independence Day party. Reservations are required if you’d like to watch the fireworks show from your bay. Grass seating is available as well, with a $5 cover charge for the fireworks show.
Fireburst Fireworks over Table Rock Lake
When: July 2
Where: Table Rock Lake near Kimberling City Bridge
Watch a summer tradition from land or by boat starting at dusk with the annual Fireburst fireworks show. The event is free, made possible through donations from local businesses, community members and friends of the lake.
Cherry & James, The Rosy Hips and fireworks in Branson
When: July 3
Where: Branson Landing fountains, 100 Branson Landing Blvd., Branson
Enjoy a night of local music as well as fireworks with Branson Landing’s free summer concert series. Cherry & James will take the stage at 6 p.m., followed by The Rosy Hips at 7 p.m. The evening will finish with Liberty Light Up fireworks.
Marshfield Independence Day Celebration
When: July 3-5
Where: Various locations in Marshfield
Marshfield is going all out with a three-day celebration. The celebration is not only marking America’s 250th birthday and the 100th anniversary of Route 66, but it is also the city’s 147th July 4 celebration. Throughout the weekend, people can take part in a semiquincentennial dress contest (July 3), a parade (July 4) and a street dance on the square (July 4). Midtown 4th of July Parade in Springfield
When: July 4
Where: Midtown neighborhood in Springfield
Historic Midtown is hosting its annual 4th of July Parade starting at 10 a.m. After the parade, there will be an ice cream party at Washington Park.
University Heights kids parade
When: July 4
Where: Stanford Street and Holland Avenue in Springfield’s University Heights neighborhood
Starting at 10:45 a.m., kids can participate in the University Heights parade. Guests are encouraged to deck out themselves and their ride in patriotic pride.
Top of the Rock fireworks show
When: July 4
Where: Top of the Rock, 190 Top of the Rock Road, Ridgedale
The public can enjoy a fireworks show starting at dusk from the restaurant and patio areas on Top of the Rock. There is a $10 entry fee to access Top of the Rock amenities and attractions.
Discount Splash & Sizzle Swimming in Springfield
When: July 4
Where: Fassnight & Silver Springs pools in Springfield
Celebrate July 4 with a splash at Fassnight and Silver Springs pools this year. From noon to 5:30 p.m., admission is $1 for all ages or free with a canned food donation. Donations benefit Ozarks Food Harvest.
Bolivar Celebration of Freedom
When: July 4
Where: Southwest Baptist University Campus, 1600 University Ave., Bolivar
The Bolivar Rotary Club is organizing and presenting this year’s Independence Day celebration. The event this year will start with food vendors opening at 5:30 p.m. and live music from Bolivar native Karli Chayne as well as musician James Sinclair-Stott from 6 to 7:45 p.m. At 8 p.m., Vietnam veteran Dan Bunch will give the keynote for the veterans’ recognition program, which will include assistance from the Bolivar High School JROTC, BHS Interact Club and the Matilda Polk Campbell Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Fireworks at dusk will close out the evening. There is no admission fee.
