South Korean indie rock sensations The Rose ascended one of New York City’s most iconic landmarks on Wednesday, visiting the Empire State Building ahead of their June 5 performance at the Infosys Hall at Madison Square Garden and in celebration of their upcoming album, The Rose.

The visit comes at a pivotal moment for the beloved four-piece band. Their current Rosetopia Tour is expected to be their final world tour before the members step away for a planned hiatus to focus on individual growth and personal pursuits. While some fans have feared the worst, the band has repeatedly emphasized that the break is not a disbandment, but rather a pause before their next chapter.

Nearly one year ago, members Woosung (Sammy Kim), Dojoon (Leo Park), Hajoon (Dylan Lee), and Taegyeom (Jeff Lee) walked the red carpet at the Tribeca Festival for the premiere of their documentary, “The Rose: Come Back To Me.” The film chronicled their journey through the South Korean music industry, highlighting themes of perseverance, mental health, vulnerability, and creative rebirth.

While the silver screen chronicled the band’s trials and tribulations within the music industry, The Rose’s momentum continued to soar, with the group embarking on back-to-back sold-out world tours.

The Rosetopia Tour marks the band’s third consecutive appearance at the venue formerly known as The Theater at Madison Square Garden, following stops on the Dawn to Dusk World Tour on Oct. 22, 2024, and the Once Upon A WRLD Tour on July 12, 2025. Fans have stated that this milestone performance will serve as both a testament to the band’s growth and a poignant moment as they prepare to conclude their final tour before an anticipated hiatus.

That ascent became symbolic as The Rose made their way through the Empire State Building, where they posed for photos on the Grand Staircase, explored the museum exhibits, including the famed King Kong display, and took in sweeping views from the 86th Floor Observatory.

“Wow,” the members exclaimed as they gazed across the Manhattan skyline, spotting iconic landmarks including the Brooklyn Bridge, One World Trade Center, and more. Woosung smiled and admitted to his bandmates that he had never seen the Statue of Liberty.

As the band prepares to close one chapter before embarking on individual journeys, the visit was a tangible snapshot of how far The Rose has come. From fighting for their future to standing atop one of the world’s most recognizable stages before taking a well-earned pause.
