Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been photographed with a large bruise across his face.
The disgraced royal was seen driving from his home, Marsh Farm in Norfolk, on Thursday afternoon.
The former Duke of York, 66, remains under police investigation following his arrest in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
A well-placed source insisted the purple bruise that appeared to cover much of his cheek and right eye was not a cause for concern.
The source said there had been “no drama”, no accident or attack but could not discuss it further due to medical confidentiality.
