Big Brother is heading back to Canada.
Media conglomerate Bell Media announced that it is reviving Big Brother Canada, which will begin production in Montréal in spring 2027.
The series will boast a new host: Andrea Bain, who has co-hosted the daytime panel talk show The Social since 2023. Bain previously hosted shows like The Goods and HGTV’s Live Here, Buy This.
Bain celebrated the news in an Instagram post on Thursday.
“The secret is finally out!!!” she wrote. “I am beyond thrilled to announce that Big Brother Canada is returning to CTV in Spring 2027, and I’ll be your hostess with the mostess as we welcome a brand new group of Houseguests into one of the most iconic reality TV franchises in the world.”
The TV personality expressed her enthusiasm for the new gig. “If you’ve watched me over the years, you know how much I love reality television, big personalities, unexpected twists, and unforgettable moments,” she wrote. “So to now be part of a franchise that has delivered all of that for decades is truly a dream come true.”
She concluded, “To everyone who has supported me throughout my career, thank you. I can’t wait for you to join me for this next chapter. Now excuse me while I scream into a pillow and happy dance around my condo. LET’S GO, CANADA!!!”
The revival will be produced by Entourage, the production company behind the French-language series Big Brother Célébrités, in association with Crave and CTV. Casting details have yet to be announced.
Big Brother Canada previously ran for 12 seasons between 2015 and 2024. Arisa Cox hosted the show during its previous run, which saw two seasons air on Slice before moving to Global TV for seasons 3 through 12.
The show saw a major shift between its 10th and 11th seasons when production eliminated the 24/7 live feeds that allowed viewers to watch every single second of the competition. Global TV opted against renewing the show after two seasons without the live feeds.

Cox reacted to the show’s demise in a heartfelt Instagram video in June 2024. “It was heartbreaking for us when the network pulled the feeds and fundamentally changed the nature of how we experience the show,” she said. “We fought for them. I fought for them.”

The show’s former host also reflected on the cultural importance of the series. “It’s been really important for us to find ways to share and promote our people and our stories and differentiate us in a by-Canadians, for-Canadians way,” she said at the time.
“And I can’t even express the magnitude of what we’ve lost over the past years industry-wide in this country,” she continued. “What I’ve built my career on: journalism and entertainment television, both scripted and reality. Big Brother Canada is another casualty of that: a show we are intensely proud of that we lived and breathed and sweated over, that we can all take ownership of. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t devastated, but we’ve built a family with hundreds of hundreds of thousands of us.”
