The 2026 Coastal Bend Juneteenth Festival returns to Corpus Christi for a three-day event starting June 19.
The event will take place at Water’s Edge Park. On June 20, admission is $1 for children, $5 for adults and $10 to $20 for a VIP experience. Admission on June 21 will be free.
Juneteenth, which became a federal holiday in 2021, marks the day in 1865 when enslaved people in Galveston learned of their freedom, two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.
The festival will include live music, food trucks, vendors, health and wellness initiatives, family activities, community and education exhibits and more. All proceeds will benefit the Coastal Bend Juneteenth Festival and the Corpus Christi chapter of the Texas Association of Black Personnel in Higher Education’s programs.
