According to a report by India Today, Katrina has resumed reading scripts and is exploring a variety of options before committing to a project. Among the possibilities being discussed are streaming originals, a space the actress has not yet ventured into.
Sources indicate that she is approaching her comeback cautiously and is prioritising quality over speed, with no intention of rushing into a film merely for the sake of returning to screens.
A source was quoted as saying, “Katrina Kaif is back to reading scripts after embracing motherhood recently. The actress is reportedly planning to return to a film set by the second half of 2027 and is actively looking for the right script, something that is worth her time. For the same, she seems interested in exploring streaming projects that could provide better opportunities for actors.”
If one of these projects materialises, it could mark Katrina’s debut in the OTT space, opening a new chapter in her career.
Katrina’s Last Movie & Her First Child
The actress was last seen in Merry Christmas, opposite Vijay Sethupathi. Released in January 2024, the bilingual Hindi-Tamil thriller received praise for its performances, with audiences particularly appreciating the chemistry between the two leads.
