Spencer Pratt does not need Jimmy Kimmel‘s help moving out of Los Angeles after losing his bid for mayor in the primary election.
Kimmel, 58, opened the Tuesday, June 9, broadcast of his late-night talk show by discussing Pratt’s loss to incumbent Mayor Karen Bass and City Councilwoman Nithya Raman.
“You know, he clearly promised that if Karen Bass or Nithya Raman were elected mayor, he’s going to move out of L.A. He said he was done with L.A. And Spencer, if you’re watching, we are so so sorry to see you go,” the Jimmy Kimmel Live! host said. “You’re a man of your word and you’ve got to go. You said you were going to go, and I know things might be tight right now, especially [now that] out-of-state donation money is running out. Moving is expensive. So, to help you out, we rented you a U-Haul.”
Pratt took to social media on Wednesday, June 10, to remind Kimmel why he won’t be needing a U-Haul.

“Jimmy Kimmel I guess you missed the part of the story i don’t need a U-Haul…I have nothing left to pack 🤷♂️” the former reality star, 42, shared over a video of the aftermath of his home following the devastating Pacific Palisades fire.
This is not the first time Pratt has declined moving help. After one social media user offered to send him moving boxes, the MTV alum responded, “No, Karen Bass let my house burn down. Everything I owned burned in my house.”
Pratt joined the race to become the next mayor of Los Angeles after losing his home in January 2025. Despite a push from many celebrities and an endorsement from President Donald Trump, Pratt fell short in the June 2 primary.
