Taylor Swift’s wedding is almost here, and everyone’s desperate for information about the singer’s nuptials. What dress is she wearing? Where is the event taking place? And who has secured an invitation? We still don’t know these things for sure, and the speculation is likely to get even bigger as the reported wedding date of July 3 approaches.
But one particular thing being reported by TMZ is raising some eyebrows. Reportedly, their wedding list isn’t all that small, and it’s not just celebrities who made the cut. Instead, the couple invited a lot of non-famous people, some of whom don’t even know the couple that well.

Yes, that’s right. Swift and Kelce reportedly invited people who have only crossed paths with them a few times while working on various projects. Imagine having the kind of wedding where you can invite virtual strangers! That’s caused quite a stir, not just because Swift is inviting people she barely knows, but also because some reports indicate she’s doing that and has left out some people she does know, including friends.
In fact, some people were shocked when they got the invite. And the invites reportedly didn’t even go out on paper, with the couple choosing to call or text those invited. How they managed with random people, we’re not sure.
Of course, the event will still be filled with celebrities, but the couple reportedly also wanted to invite people they’ve met who left a positive impression.
TMZ reports that the wedding is expected to have somewhere around 1,100 and 1,200 guests and will take place on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. She reportedly rented MSG for three days, one for setup, the wedding day, and another to clear it out, and is paying the booking fee for the arena, which is $1 million per night.
All of this comes after Page Six reported that Swift’s longtime friends Miles Teller and his wife, Keleigh Sperry Teller, are not invited. This comes after months of speculation about a rift between Swift and the couple, who haven’t been seen together since February 2024.
While at the SCAD Savannah Film Festival in November 2025, when asked by Parade if he and Keleigh would attend the wedding, Teller said. “I don’t know. That is gonna be—I imagine—one impressive wedding,” he said. “Just very happy for them. I’ve known Trav for a while, too, and I think they’re having a blast. That’s the point.”
Then, of course, there’s Blake Lively, who most people expected would not be invited to the wedding. Hollywood insider Rob Shuter, however, is saying that Lively is still confident an invitation is coming. “Blake genuinely believes there’s still a path back,” one insider told the gossip columnist. “Now that the legal mess is over, she thinks the hardest part is behind her, and there’s real hope they can move forward.”
“Just like she had her Met Gala dress ready, she already has a dress picked out for Taylor’s wedding,” a source said. “That’s how convinced she was — and still is — that this friendship can be saved.”
Soon we’ll find out who is actually invited and who isn’t.
