KEY POINTS
RuPaul’s Drag Race faves Jujubee and Symone play “Lie vs. Lie” with Entertainment Weekly.
The queens star in Adam Shankman’s Stop! That! Train!, in theaters now.
The season 13 winner and the recurring contender describe how they’ve both surprised fans.
We challenged Stop! That! Train! costars Jujubee and Symone to try to lie to each other, but they proved they are just too genuine to pull it off.
Take, for instance, when Jujubee gets the question, “What is the best compliment you’ve ever received?” while playing “Lie vs. Lie” on Entertainment Weekly‘s YouTube channel. Instead of making something up about Stop! That! Train! costar RuPaul gagging over a killer outfit or director Adam Shankman calling her the best actress he’s ever worked with, she speaks straight from the heart.
“Honestly, it wasn’t about looks, and it wasn’t about the appearance of things, or, like, my outfit. I think it was about the heart,” she replies. “Whenever I receive compliments that talk about how I come off genuine.”

The season 2, All Stars 1, and All Stars 5 queen gives an example of how fans react to her at meet-and-greets.
“We meet fans [and] they’re like, ‘Oh, my gosh, you’re just like what I thought you were gonna be,'” she says. “‘Cause they do fear us when they meet us.”
Season 13 winner Symone agrees with the experience. “They do. They’re always like, ‘We didn’t know.’ What, girl? What did you expect?”
The drag duo admits the same cannot be said for every queen to come out of the Emmy-winning reality competition.
“Well, some of us. Some of the girls do,” Symone says. “We’re nice people, and with good hearts.”
Juju describes them as, “Nice and kind.” While Symone makes the distinction that “nice is intention, kind is in the heart.”

Which brings Jujubee back to the true matter at hand.
“The best compliment I ever got was that I was genuine, and I was loving, and honest, and heartful,” she answers.
Symone doesn’t hesitate to guess that her costar is telling the truth.
“This is true. You are all of these things. And I believe you were told this. I’m gonna have to go with this is a truth,” she replies.
“And it is,” Juju confirms.
Disaster-comedy Stop! That! Train! — about train attendants dealing with interpersonal drama and a train that is about to literally go off the rails — also stars fellow Drag Race alums Ginger Minj, Brooke Lynn Hytes, Marcia Marcia Marcia, Latrice Royale, and Monét X Change, plus Rachel Bloom, Lisa Rinna, Chris Parnell, Joel McHale, June Diane Raphael, Matt Rogers, and Charo.
While speaking to EW at the movie’s red carpet premiere in Hollywood last month, Symone couldn’t wait for fans to see her theatrical debut.
“I’m excited for you to see another side of me. To see me really act and have a really good time,” the House of Avalon member said, also revealing her “Lie vs. Lie” partner was the cast member who made her break most.
