HERSHEY, Pa. (WHTM) – Hersheypark Stadium played host to a sold-out Commonwealth Concert Series show on Saturday night.
The show featured Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Joan Jett & The Blackhearts and folk-rock band The Avett Brothers featuring Mike Patton.

The free concert is one of five being held across the state to commemorate the nation’s 250th anniversary.
“Hershey has a proud history, a strong sense of community, and deep agricultural roots,” said Cassandra Coleman, Executive Director of America250PA. “Saturday’s crowd reflected everything that makes this region special as we came together to celebrate the farmers, families, and traditions that have helped shape Pennsylvania for generations. It was our pleasure to shine a spotlight on that legacy while bringing people together for an epic night of music.”
On June 20, the concert series features Lady A with special guest En Vogue at Kirby Park in Wilkes-Barre. Nelly and Third Eye Blind will close out the set of shows at Point State Park in Pittsburgh on Jun 27.
State College and Erie previously hosted concerts for the series.
