Winchester, KY — Award-winning content creation company Just Do GOOD Entertainment has selected the Lexington, Kentucky area as the backdrop for its next inspiring production. Co-founders and executive producers Monty Hobbs and Valerie Smaldone are heading to Winchester, Kentucky, to film upcoming episodes of their Telly and Davey Award-winning television series, Finding Kindness.
Set against the breathtaking beauty of Kentucky’s rolling landscapes, majestic mountains, and pastoral countryside, these new episodes promise to capture the spirit of Southern hospitality and the power of community connection. Hobbs and Smaldone, who also serve as hosts of the series, are excited to bring the uplifting and heartfelt storytelling of Finding Kindness to the South.
Each location the producing and hosting duo visits provides its own unique stories of generosity and resilience.
“Kentucky has such a rich sense of heritage and heart, and we’re thrilled to shine a light on the kindness that lives here,” said Smaldone. “We can’t wait to start rolling camera in August and showcase all the good people and initiatives that we have identified in the area,” said Hobbs.
A Community-Centered Production
In association with The Bluegrass Syndicate, a company deeply rooted in real estate development and new business ventures, much of the filming will take place inside a brand-new destination in the region, The Winchester Cafe. Slated to open this summer in downtown Winchester, the coffee shop is designed to serve as a vibrant community hub. The Winchester Cafe will operate as a full-service breakfast and lunch spot offering classic Southern comfort food, while also featuring a retail component where visitors can purchase merchandise tied to Just Do GOOD Entertainment’s programming. The location will play a central role in the storytelling of the episode, reflecting the show’s mission of highlighting spaces that bring people together.
Crystal Gayle Joins as Celebrity Guest Host
Adding to the excitement, Grammy Award-winning country music icon Crystal Gayle has signed on as a celebrity guest host for the episode. A Kentucky native, Gayle’s participation marks a meaningful homecoming and brings an additional layer of authenticity and star power to the production.
“I’m honored to be part of a project that celebrates kindness and community,” said Gayle. “Returning to the state where I was born for something so positive and uplifting makes it even more special.”
Stories That Inspire and Heal
Finding Kindness is known for uncovering real-life stories of compassion, generosity, and human connection across the country. Each episode highlights individuals and communities making a difference in meaningful ways, reinforcing the idea that even small acts of kindness can create a lasting impact. The Kentucky episode will continue that tradition, featuring local stories, unexpected moments, and heartfelt surprises that celebrate the essence of giving back.
More to Come
While details remain under wraps, the production team promises many exciting surprises along the way, including impactful community moments that embody the theme of kindness. Finding Kindness can be seen on UP Faith and Family, Apple TV, and Prime.
