The limited engagement of Celebrity Autobiography will play its final performance at
Broadway’s Shubert Theatre June 21 at 6 PM. As of closing, the production will have offered three previews and 40 regular performances.
Previews began May 16. The Broadway bow officially opened May 18, with Rita Wilson producing and co-starring. Performances were originally scheduled through August 16.
The long-running comedy favorite, playing a limited summer Broadway run following performances around the
world, features an ever-changing cast of celebrity notables reading
excerpts from real autobiographies.
The final list of rotating cast members who will have appeared in Celebrity Autobiography at the Shubert include Caroline Aaron, Brooke Adams, Pamela Adlon, Scott Adsit, Lewis Black, Matthew Broderick, Danny Burstein, Mario Cantone, Bonnie Comley, Katie Couric, Mikey Day, Frank DiLella, Tate Donovan, Alexander Dreymon, Gina Gershon, Mickey Gooch Jr., Kathy Griffin, Jeff Hiller, Jackie Hoffman, Christopher Jackson, Gayle King, Leslie Rodriguez Kritzer, Stewart F. Lane, Robert Sean Leonard, Ralph Macchio, Ben Mankiewicz, Andrea Martin, Eric McCormack, Bobby Moynihan, Eugene Pack, Dayle Reyfel, Phil Rosenthal, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Tony Shalhoub, Molly Shannon, Kenan Thompson, Nia Vardalos, Bruce Vilanch, Kate Walsh, Allison Williams, and Wilson.
Co-directors and show creators Eugene Pack and Dayle Reyfel join each night’s celebrity guests on stage.
The staging features scenic and costume design by Derek McLane,
lighting design by Ed McCarthy, and sound design by Palmer Hefferan. The
Broadway run is produced by Wilson, Eric Falkenstein, Douglas Denoff,
Fraboni, Peter Martin, and EP Productions. Foundation Theatrical‘s Erich
Jungwirth is general managing, and James FitzSimmons serves as
production stage manager.
