Franklin
What: Fans of “Peanuts” have a new reason to visit the Upcountry History Museum. Franklin, a travelling exhibition opening this week, explores the origins of Charlie Brown’s friend and the first Black character in the comic. The exhibit runs through Nov. 1.
When: Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 1-5 p.m.
Where: The Upcountry History Museum
Price: $14 for adults, $13 for senior adults and college students and $10 for children

Greenville Chautauqua Festival
What: The Greenville Chautauqua Festival’s tag line is “History Comes Alive!” This year, it’ll be figures from the Revolutionary War — portrayed by actors — who will help celebrate the United States’ 250th anniversary.
When: 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 17 to Friday, June 19 and 2 p.m. Saturday, June 20 to Sunday, June 21
Where: Wednesday to Friday at Senior Action, 3715 E. North St., and Saturday to Sunday at Hartness Performing Arts Center at 245 Cavalier Drive.

Juneteenth at Unity Park
What: In its fifth year, Juneteenth at Unity Park celebrates the history of Juneteenth with local artists, poetry readings, recognition of student essay contest winners and a panel discussion. Local food trucks will serve food at lunchtime.
When: 9 a.m. to noon, Friday, June 19
Where: Participants will meet at Linky Stone Park and walk to Unity Park, arriving by 10 a.m.

Donuts with Dads: Father’s Day Fish-a-Thon
What: What better way to celebrate Father’s Day than with a day on the lake? Saluda Lake Landing is hosting a full day of fun for fathers of all types, with free donuts (while supplies last), fishing, coffee, burgers, live music and more.
When: Sunday, June 21 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: Saluda Lake Landing, 605 Motor Boat Club Rd.

Sundays at 2: Gallery Tour
What: Round out your weekend with a quiet, reflective afternoon at the Greenville County Museum of Art. The museum is hosting a guided tour of works by African American artists such as David Drake, William H. Johnson and Merton Simpson.
