Jake Hall’s cause of death has been confirmed as “could not be determined” after the British reality star’s death at age 35.
BBC and Sky News reported on Tuesday, June 16, that an autopsy had been conducted but no cause of death was ultimately determined. Hall’s body reportedly returned to the U.K. following the official coroner report.
The outlets reported that coroner Nadia Persaud asked local Spanish authorities to share the toxicology report, police reports and witness statements.
The Sun reported on May 7 that Hall was found dead in a villa after a he attended a party in Majorca, Spain. Authorities believed at the time that he may have hit his head on a glass door since he appeared to sustain fatal head wounds.
Neighbors reported hearing “loud noises” hours before police arrived at the villa. One person told local outlet Ultima Hora that Hall “hadn’t been causing problems” and seemed “relatively normal” prior to the tragedy.
Some of Hall’s friends, on the other hand, scared the neighbor. “I began to hear a very loud noise, as if they were drilling something,” the person claimed. “They stopped after about five minutes, and then I fell asleep.”
Police reportedly questioned four men and two women staying at the property where Hall’s body was discovered. No arrests were made at the time.
Shortly before his death, Hall shared a social media update with his followers.
“Life is bollocks sometimes but I’m gonna try to remember the good things,” he wrote via Instagram on May 5. “Looking through things — I’m just making art — in many forms.”
Hall was known for his role on the British reality series The Only Way Is Essex during seasons 14 through 17, which aired from 2015 to 2016.
“Jake was a part of the TOWIE family for a number of years and we send our very deepest sympathies to his family and friends following today’s very sad news,” the reality show said in a statement after Hall’s death.
Outside of his time on TV, Hall had an on-off relationship with fellow reality star Missé Beqiri, who starred on The Real Housewives of Cheshire from 2016 to 2017 and made her debut on Ladies of London: The New Reign earlier this year. The pair welcomed daughter River in November 2017 and got engaged in May 2018, though they called it quits on their romance not long after.
Following news of her ex’s death, Beqiri’s rep addressed the tragedy in a statement to The Mirror.
“At this time, Missé’s focus is on supporting and protecting their child as they come to terms with this,” the May 7 statement read. “The family are asking for privacy, compassion and respect while they grieve privately.”
Hall frequently gushed over his daughter on social media. In one of his final Instagram posts, he captioned photos of River, “My world — my world! My world ❤️🔥.”
One year earlier, Hall shared a personal message to his daughter, writing via Instagram in February 2025, “My heart hurts not having you next to me daily but — we will conquer the world kid with good vibes and believing you can do absolutely anything you set your mind to — NEVER GIVE UP DAD — BOOOOM ✨.”
