Ariana Biermann shed light on her family dynamic amid Kroy Biermann and Kim Zolciak’s ongoing divorce and custody battle.
The Next Gen NYC star, 24, told Us Weekly exclusively that she’s not often in contact with her dad, 40, but has made efforts to stay connected.
“I tried, you know, for a while,” Ariana explained to Us. “I really wish him the best in healing during this time, but I have not really spoken to him unless it’s asking him if I can see my siblings or something like that.”
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, 48, and retired NFL linebacker are in the middle of a contentious split more than a decade after tying the knot in November 2011 and going on to welcome four children together: Kroy Jr., 15, Kash, 13, and twins Kaia and Kane, 12. Kroy later adopted Kim’s two daughters, Brielle, 29, and Ariana, shortly after they wed.
Kim and Kroy filed for divorce in April 2023, but called it off in July. Their reconciliation was short-lived as he submitted a second divorce filing that August.
More recently, Kroy was granted temporary custody of the former couple’s four minor children in May. The exes continue to share joint legal custody of the kids, although he has the final say on educational, non-emergency medical and religious decisions for the time being.
Kim later filed for an emergency hearing, alleging that Kroy was not properly caring for their children and would let them go hungry at times while they were in his custody. Her allegations came to light after Kroy accused his ex of being “both unstable and unfit” as a parent. In his filing, Kroy claimed Kim “is more selfishly concerned with her own image and her work options than with the opinions of experts and/or the best interest of the children.”
Ariana told Us that Kim will continue to fight for her kids “literally [to] her very last breath, she is not going to ever back down.”
“That’s why it’s been a freaking three-year process, or whatever we’re at now, and who knows what the road ahead, how much longer it’s going to be, totally,” Ariana added.
Ariana recently weathered a breakup of her own following her split from Hudson McLeroy in October 2025, revealing that she has been embracing solo time after being in a relationship for three years.
“I learned so much about myself, things I did wrong in the relationship that I didn’t see, and just kind of like things I would have never learned had I not gone through that and been by myself,” she told Us. “I feel like it’s a crucial part of being like 24 and being alone and experiencing that part of your life.”
