The Princess of Wales has made a triumphant return to Royal Ascot, a year after pulling out at the last minute as she continued her recovery from chemotherapy.
Princess Catherine arrived for the second day of Ascot by carriage, riding with the Prince of Wales.
This time last year, the Princess was suffering from the long-term effects of her chemotherapy and, managing her gradual return to work, chose not to attend.
She is back to a busy working schedule, and recently took her first overseas trip since her cancer diagnosis.
The Waleses were joined in the carriage by the Duke and Duchess of Richmond and Gordon.
The Princess wore a canary yellow dress by Roksanda and a matching hat by Jane Taylor. Her earrings belonged to Elizabeth II.
The King and Queen rode with Lady Sarah Chatto, the daughter of Princess Margaret and her husband Daniel Chatto. Rory Stewart, political commentator, will ride in the third carriage.
The King has one runner on Wednesday: Point Of Law in the 3.05pm Queen’s Vase.
On Tuesday, the first day of Ascot 2026, the King and Queen watched from the Royal Box as their horse Reaching High came last in the Ascot Stakes.
