Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers spoke to PEOPLE about the fifth annual Las Culturistas Culture Awards and bringing Lisa Rinna back to model the “Outfit of the Year” nominees
During their conversation, the co-hosts celebrated Rinna’s dedication to her performance, with Rogers calling her an “icon”

Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers are thankful to have Lisa Rinna return to the Las Culturistas Culture Awards.
The podcast co-hosts spoke exclusively to PEOPLE ahead of the fifth annual awards show and explained how they knew they wanted to ask Rinna back for the second televised show. During the 2025 and 2026 shows, Rinna, 62, was asked to model the “Outfit of the Year” nominees.
For the 2026 show, Rinna embraced each nominee and made the stage her runway, modeling the looks of Weapons’ Aunt Gladys; Jacob Elordi leaving an airport; Carolyn Bessette‘s argument chic style in Battery Park; Billie Eilish as One Less Lonely Girl at Coachella and Jeff Probst for the last 50 seasons of Survivor.
Rogers, 36, explains that, as they approached the second broadcast, they “knew” they had to bring back the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star. “She has outdone herself,” he says. “As has our costume department, hair and makeup. It is really fun.”

Rogers reveals that audiences aren’t aware of how active and committed she is to the role. Yang, 35, adds, “She takes it so seriously.”
“People involved in the show when she came into rehearse—and even during the show went up to her and they were like—’You are doing like full on like Parisian clowning,’ ” Yang says, “like Commedia dell’arte.”
“And she’s like, ‘Really?’ ” Yang and Rogers recall in unison, with Rogers impersonating the famed actress and saying, “Wow! Huh!”
Yang explains that the Traitors alum doesn’t realize how committed she is to the comedy bit. “Like it never occurred to her that she’s so good. She’s so good at what she does,” he says.
“She just loves… she’s such a perfect performer, entertainer, actor. Like she’s so embodied and I’m obsessed,” Yang says, with Rogers declaring, “She’s an icon.”

The pair’s praise comes after Rinna told PEOPLE at the show’s red carpet event on May 31 that she was so excited to return. “To be asked back is such an honor because this was really the highlight of my year last year. It was,” she shared.
“I had so much fun,” she continued. “So to be asked back and to do it again, like a cherry on top of whipped cream, like it’s cherry on top.”
