Pembrokeshire people were transformed by two top hair and makeup artists during an afternoon of glamour, beauty and a bit of celebrity gossip.
Belle’s Beauty Brunch was recently held at Crug Las Country Hotel to raise money for Belle’s Story Charity.
Belle’ Story was set up in memory of Wolfscastle’s Belle Curran, who lost her battle with interstitial lung disease at only ten years old.

During her lifetime Belle, along with her family friends and supporters, raised tens of thousands of pounds for the charities that helped her, as well as increasing awareness of organ donation.
Belle’s Story has continued that work and also helps make a difference to young people touched by life-changing illness and disabilities, by providing direct support to them and their families.

The beauty brunch was hosted by two hair and makeup aficionados with decades of experience in TV, film, magazine and fashion shoots.
Both Nigel Barnes and Arianne Poole have worked with some of the world’s best photographers, including David Bailey, Hans Fuehrer and Annie Leibovitz and famous faces such as Catherine Zeta Jones, Penelope Cruz, Yasmin Le Bon and Uma Thurman.

At the Belle’s Story event they demonstrated different looks on model Kerry Ferguson before turning their skills to the audience.
There was a multi-generational grandmother-granddaughter makeover as well as advice on how to create volume, go from up-do to down, how to brighten up tired looking eyes and create age appropriate make up.

Arianne also helped members of the audience with their make-up queries and conundrums.
As well as a plethora of hair and beauty advice, attendees at the event also enjoyed a complimentary cocktail on arrival and a host of delicious brunch canapes created by the Crug Las kitchen.

A fundraising raffle offered sumptuous prizes including hundreds of pounds worth of Katya Wildman and Sargasso & Grey vouchers, beauty hampers, haircuts, treatments, make up lessons and unique locally-made jewellery from Amy Pepper.
Belle’s mum Stella attended the event and made a moving speech that left many attendees blinking away tears.
