Cinballera Entertainment will present Puccini’s “Il Tabarro’ on July 19, 2026 at the California Center for the Arts Escondido in Escondido, California.
The production is the Season 4 opener for Cinballera, an independent performing arts company based in North San Diego County. The evening features a staged performance of the opera followed, after intermission, by a brand new neoclassical ballet adaptation of the same story with original choreography. The ballet reverses the narrative while retaining the opera’s orchestrations, with the characters communicating entirely through movement rather than voice.
Dramatic coloratura soprano Tiffany Brannan and prima ballerina Rebekah Brannan, the sisters who founded Cinballera in 2023, will trade off as the leading lady between the opera and ballet portions of the program.
The production is presented in collaboration with the Temecula Valley Symphony, conducted by John Mario Di Costanzo.
The showcase kicks off at 3 p.m. local time.
