Adele appeared at Church Studios in Crouch End, North London, writing and recording tracks two years after her Las Vegas residency concluded in November 2024. The 38-year-old artist flew from Los Angeles to her hometown earlier this month. She’s working with producer Paul Epworth at the same spot where she recorded parts of her 2015 album, 25.
“Adele is spending at least a fortnight in London writing and recording music,” a source said, according to The Sun. “She was in and out of sessions last week and will be back in there this week, but she is keeping a low profile while she is here.”
The source added that the artist feels secure at Church Studios. It made sense to travel there for sessions instead of working somewhere else in LA. Bon Iver lead singer Justin Vernon appeared at the studios last week, but no one knows if he’s been collaborating with her.
People close to the artist have pushed her to reconnect with where she grew up for her new tracks. They think it will help spark something different after her last album had a Hollywood influence. Church Studios has hosted sessions for Blur, Oasis, Coldplay, and Sir Paul McCartney. Eurythmics star Dave Stewart used to own it.
Adele was photographed around town attending actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s birthday party and Lola Young’s concert at the O2 Academy Brixton. Gracie Abrams was also spotted shooting a music video outside the building last week.
When the “Hello” hitmaker brought Weekends with Adele at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace to a close in November 2024, she told the audience that she wanted to do a residency so she could spend more time with her son, Angelo. Her last album, 30, came out in 2021.
