It’s so refreshing to see the Obamas back in the spotlight again, and the former president and first lady have been all over the news recently, as they’ve been celebrating the unveiling of the Barack Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, which officially opened to the public on June 19.
With grand opening and dedication ceremonies, as well as engagements in some of the newly opened sections of the campus, like the Obama Presidential Library, Michelle and Barack have had ample opportunities to show off their classy style, and the former has certainly not disappointed.
Thanks to the help of her stylist Meredith Koop, the Becoming author has turned heads in everything from a tweed pinstripe Thom Browne set to a custom Acne Studios look featuring a skirt printed with a picture of her late mother, Marian Robinson.
Now, with her latest ensemble, Michelle gave a subtle shoutout to her husband (as seen here).
At her latest engagement, the attorney and author stepped out in a custom white T-shirt from Fear of God, which was pulled from the brand’s first-ever womenswear collection.
The tee—designed by founder Jerry Lorenzo—was printed with the number “44” in a faded black font on the front (a number that served as a wink to her husband, Barack, and the fact that he served as the 44th president of the United States).
The top was paired with matching white workwear trousers in a Japanese broken twill denim, also from the house, while Michelle wore a pair of sandals and stacks of bangles to round things out.
Like most things she does, this style streak is one for the history books.
