Gilmore Girls will soon begin streaming on Prime Video.
The move comes after Netflix announced that the series was leaving the streamer.
All seven seasons arrive on Prime Video on July 1.
Gilmore Girls quickly found a new home.
News broke last week that the beloved show was leaving Netflix after 12 years that included a revival series, but Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that Gilmore Girls begins streaming July 1 on Prime Video.
Fans were shocked when Netflix announced on social media that the WB/CW dramedy would no longer be available on their platform come June 30.
“It’s a show? It’s a lifestyle. It’s a religion,” read the streamer’s X post, quoting some memorable season 1 dialogue referring to The Donna Reed Show. “We are sorry to say that Gilmore Girls Seasons 1-7 will be leaving Netflix in the US on June 30. Raising a cup of coffee to every fan who visited Stars Hollow with us.”
Premiering on the WB in 2000, Amy Sherman-Palladino’s series starred Lauren Graham as single mom Lorelai Gilmore and Alexis Bledel as her whip-smart daughter Rory. Gilmore Girls followed their extremely tight bond, as well as their relationships with the various men in their lives. Kelly Bishop, Scott Patterson, Jared Padalecki, Milo Ventimiglia, Sean Gunn, Melissa McCarthy, and the late Edward Hermann were among those to also memorably star.
