Good morning, and I hope everyone is having a great start to the weekend!
It’s an extra special Saturday edition as the Boomerang’s annual magazine previewing the upcoming Laramie Jubilee Days summer celebration will be inserted in the print editions and be available for distribution around town.
The publication takes an in-depth look at all events around downtown, at the Albany County Fairgrounds rodeo arena and throughout the area.
Today’s Boomerang print and e-Editions also features students and teachers meeting with state lawmakers on the Select Committee on School Finance Recalibration to share a wide variety of concerns and potential solutions regarding funding for Wyoming’s public schools.
The weekend edition’s Laramie Life page has two arts and entertainment stories from news intern Kaileen Gruber as she highlights a self-taught musician and artist who performs under the name Tinderdust, and a local artist hosting a cyanotype workshop.
Also, WyoSports’ Alex Taylor looks into the progress of former Laramie High standout Neil Summers with Cowboys basketball, and Adam Engel writes how Laramie Rangers alumnus Brandon Chavez developed into DI pitcher.
It’s also a bittersweet time as our longtime news reporter Rachel Finch pens a column on our opinion page thanking everyone in Laramie as she begins another life adventure.
Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the reading!
