Four years after the end of one of reality TV’s most talked-about marriages, 90 Day Fiancé veteran Pedro Jimeno is preparing to walk down the aisle again. The TLC personality has announced his engagement to his girlfriend, Valentina Malagon, proposing in a romantic beachfront setting on the Hawaiian island of Oahu earlier this month.
The proposal, which took place on June 6, featured a dramatic display of red roses, candles, and a heart-shaped floral arch overlooking the ocean. At the center of the arrangement was a glowing sign that asked the question outright: “Will You Marry Me?” Jimeno dropped to one knee and presented Malagon with a handcrafted pear-shaped diamond ring created by Diamondboi Designs. She said yes.
Speaking to People, Jimeno framed the engagement as the start of a new chapter after years of personal and public change. “Today we’re not just celebrating a ‘yes,’” he said. “We’re celebrating the moment when two paths, two stories, and two dreams decided to become one forever.”
The engagement marks a significant milestone for the Dominican Republic native, whose relationship history became a major part of the 90 Day Fiancé universe. Viewers first met Jimeno during Season 4 of the franchise when he relocated to the United States on a K-1 visa to marry Chantel Everett. Their relationship became one of the franchise’s most recognizable storylines, eventually spawning appearances on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, 90 Day Fiancé: Self-Quarantined, and the long-running spinoff The Family Chantel.
While the marriage made them reality television fixtures, it ultimately came to an end in 2022 after nearly six years together. In the years since, both Jimeno and Everett have moved forward in highly public ways.
The news arrives just months after Everett made headlines with an engagement of her own. During 90 Day: Hunt for Love, the reality star publicly discussed her sexuality and later confirmed a relationship with longtime friend Ashley Bowen. Bowen proposed in December 2025 at a castle in Georgia, surprising Everett with a ring and an original song written for the occasion.
