Bad Wolves have officially introduced their new vocalist, Sara “Killboy” Skinner, alongside the release of the band’s new single, “Paint It Red,” and its accompanying music video. The release also marks the introduction of new bassist Derek Bolman to the band’s lineup.
The lineup changes were first revealed in an interview with Revolver, where Skinner discussed joining the band after previously collaborating with Bad Wolves on the 2023 track “It’s You (2 Months).” According to the interview, drummer John Boecklin approached Skinner as the band was considering its future following several lineup changes in 2025.
“Paint It Red” marks Skinner’s first official release as Bad Wolves’ full-time frontwoman. The song explores themes of starting over and leaving the past behind, while the music video reflects that idea through scenes of tearing down and rebuilding.
The single is expected to be the first in a series of releases leading up to Bad Wolves’ fifth studio album, with additional details to be announced.
