Gurriers have shared their furious and politically conscious new single ‘Party Lines’ – check it out below.

The track is the latest taste of the Dublin band’s forthcoming second album ‘Nobody’s Coming To Save You’, which is set for release on September 25 via Play It Again Sam. Pre-save/order it here. They shared the record’s fierce title track in May.

The new single was written as the band watched the war in Sudan escalate, and explores the contradiction of political leaders offering aid and provisions to countries while also trading weapons and waging war against them.

Musically, the song sees Gurriers lean further into dance-punk territory, combining squalling high-energy guitar riffs with a driving rhythm section and a furious lead vocal.

‘Nobody’s Coming To Save You’ was recorded between Attica Studios in Donegal and Holy Mountain Studios in London. It was produced by Mark Bowen of IDLES and Loren Humphrey, whose previous credits include Geese and Cameron Winter.

The album follows Gurriers’ 2024 debut ‘Come And See’, which saw the band establish themselves as one of Ireland’s most intense new guitar acts.

Speaking to NME around the release of that record, the band described it as “a statement of intent”. It also saw the band tackling thorny political issues, including the rise of the far right in Ireland.

“We hoped it would send a message,” frontman Dan Hoff explained, in reference to the mass boycott of SXSW 2024 by Irish artists. “What the movement needed at SXSW was for bigger names like The Black Keys to say they weren’t playing, but instead it was Irish acts and smaller bands pulling out.”

“It was important that the Irish bands all did it together,” drummer Pierce O’Callaghan added. “What we had to do is incomparable to the atrocities facing the Palestinian people. It was incredibly disappointing of course, but at least we knew we were doing the right thing.”

The band recently supported Kneecap at their huge Crystal Palace Park show in London, which also featured The Mary Wallopers, Fat Dog and Kae Tempest.

Gurriers will also play a run of festivals this summer, including Boomtown and Reading & Leeds, before heading out on an extensive UK and European headline tour this autumn.

The tour includes a London show at Electric Brixton on October 24 and two major Dublin shows at Vicar Street and 3Olympia Theatre. See the full list of dates here and find any remaining tickets here.

Last September, the band dropped the single ‘Erasure’ as the first new material since their 2024 debut album, while in May, Gurriers took to the stage at The Great Escape 2026 and were listed among NME’s list of the Top 10 performances from the festival.
