- It’s a history-making look for the fashion house, as it is creative director Jonathan Anderson’s first couture wedding dress for a major celebrity.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially married—and while the singer hasn’t shared wedding photos yet, her rep quickly revealed the designer Swift and Kelce chose for their ceremony looks.
In a statement to People, the spokesperson said, “The bride and groom’s wedding ceremony looks have been created by Christian Dior Haute Couture. They are designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women’s, Men’s and Haute Couture Collections, in close collaboration with the Bride and Groom. This is the designer’s first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity. Their shoes were custom made by Christian Louboutin and the bride wore Cartier jewelry.”
Prior to the wedding, sources told The Hollywood Reporter that Swift would likely be wearing a custom Dior couture dress.
Swift has regularly worn Dior, including on dates with Kelce.
Ahead of her wedding, Swift admitted she didn’t have a set vision for her nuptials. “You would think that I would’ve been the type of person who would’ve obsessed over the idea of a wedding my whole life,” she told Heart Breakfast in October. “But I actually never thought about what I would ever do or what I would want until I met the person.”
In December 2012, she told Cosmopolitan the same thing when asked about her dream wedding. “I want to build a life with someone that’s based on their dreams as well as my dreams,” she said. “I don’t want it to just be like, ‘So, I have a scrapbook. In it, I put all the fabric swatches of the wedding dress I’m going to wear. I also have a tuxedo I picked out of a catalog that you’ll wear. Then approximately nine and a half years into our dating, we will be on our second child, and we will send him to preschool here. Don’t worry, I planned it all out for you!’ I don’t want him to wonder if it even matters if he’s there.”
