Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have officially tied the knot, and Louisiana wasn’t shut out of the star-studded proceedings at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Among the guests at the wedding between the music superstar and the Pro Bowl tight end for the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs were two former LSU football players.
Andrew Whitworth and Clyde Edwards-Helaire were both seen entering Madison Square Garden on Friday.
Whitworth, from West Monroe, was a four-year starter for LSU and a member of the 2003 championship team. He later was a four-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro in the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Rams, with whom he won Super Bowl LVI.
Whitworth was photographed leaving for the wedding with former NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Edwards-Helaire arrived alongside fellow former Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco, now playing for the Detroit Lions.
Edwards-Helaire, a Baton Rouge native, was the starting running back for LSU’s undefeated 2019 championship season, during which he ran for over 1,400 yards and scored a total of 17 touchdowns. He was drafted by the Chiefs in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft and went on to win two Super Bowls with the team.
Edwards-Helaire also had a stint with the Saints in 2024.
Also at the wedding was former Saints player Khalen Saunders. He attended with his brother Kam, who was one of Swift’s background dancers on her Eras Tour.
The secretive wedding has been one of the most anticipated events of the year ever since the pair were engaged in August.
News that the wedding would take place at Madison Square Garden, one of the nation’s most iconic sports venues, came out through event permits filed for the Fourth of July weekend. The streets around MSG have been closed for much of the weekend.
The guest list includes many of both the entertainment and football world’s greatest stars, from Ed Sheeran and Selena Gomez to George Kittle and Andy Reid.
Adam Sandler reportedly officiated the wedding.
